Visitors to Edenhope now have more accommodation options with the extension of an iconic caravan park on the foreshore of Lake Wallace, thanks to support from the Allan Labor Government.

Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos today congratulated the Edenhope Lakeside Tourist Park on the completion of the much-needed upgrades that will entice visitors to stay longer.

The project will expand the park to include 10 additional fully-serviced powered sites to accommodate an extra 40 holiday makers at the park per night. We’re also building more all-access amenities with a new camp kitchen and recreation room, laundry and barbecue area to boost the visitor experience.

The Labor Government’s more than $1 million investment through the Regional Tourism Investment Fund is making sure more families and friends can enjoy this vibrant region – backing local jobs, businesses and the economy.

This project will make valuable upgrades to the park amenities which currently date back to the 1960s.

The pet-friendly park is ideally located within walking distance of the Edenhope town centre, with access to fishing, tennis and golf, plus a 5.5km walking and bike track around the lake.

Visitors can choose from a range of accommodation options at the Tourist Park including powered and unpowered camping sites, on-site caravans or comfortable ensuite cabins and villas with options for up to five people.

The Regional Tourism Investment Fund is a part of the Government’s record $45 billion investment since 2014 in projects and programs that support regional and rural Victoria to be an even better place to live, work, stay and play.
