What is the economic development strategy?
The West Wimmera Economic Development Strategy embodies the collective aspirations of local business and community groups in building on the region's strengths and seizing emerging opportunities. Aligned with the Regional Economic Development Strategy (REDS) for Wimmera Southern Mallee, this framework guides inclusive and sustainable growth, emphasising economic, social, cultural, and environmental outcomes. The strategy prioritises liveability and aims to position West Wimmera Shire as a top lifestyle destination while supporting existing industries and attracting value-adding ventures.
