West Wimmera Shire Council has a vacancy for a Customer Service Officer to join the Community Development and Tourism team. This is a permanent part-time position based in Kanvia, providing a high level of customer service and administrative support across a range of Council functions.
As the first point of contact for residents, visitors and stakeholders, the role is responsible for providing professional and efficient customer service both in person and over the phone. The position also supports a range of administrative activities, including receipting and banking processes, VicRoads agency services, animal registrations, accessible parking permit applications and general office administration.
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a variety of tasks in a busy office environment.
- Well-developed computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to a collaborative workplace.
Previous experience in a customer service or front counter role is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided to the successful applicant.
This position is offered on a permanent part-time basis.
