Nominate for Senior Citizen of the Year award

West Wimmera Shire Council will recognise outstanding members of the community through its annual Senior Citizen of the Year award.

Nominations open on July 17 and anyone over the age of 60 can be nominated.

The Senior Citizen of the Year award recognises an unsung hero from across West Wimmera Shire.

Kindergarten open days for 2027

Families considering three-year-old kindergarten for their child in 2027 are invited to attend open days at West Wimmera Shire Council's early years services next month.
The open days will be on Friday, 7 August, from 10am to 11am at Kaniva, Edenhope and Goroke centres.

Harrow Mural Launch

Join us to celebrate the unveiling of a new community mural, created by Harrow's young people in collaboration with local artist Ron 'Stretch' Penrose. The mural, "Songlines and Yarning Circles," is part of the Harrow Youth Hangout Civic Partnership Project. All welcome.

Cancer Support Group - July 2026

The Cancer Support Group meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

Everyone is welcome. Community members are encouraged to bring along friends or family who may benefit from the conversation. The group provides a supportive and understanding space to talk, reflect and connect.

Cuppa and chat

Uniting is bringing its mental health, alcohol and other drugs, and homelessness outreach services to Edenhope as part of its monthly regional outreach program. Community members are invited to drop in for a free cuppa and a relaxed chat with the team, who can provide information, support, referrals and connections to a range of Uniting services.
