Early Childhood Educator (Edenhope)

West Wimmera Shire Council has a vacancy for a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our Edenhope Early Years Service. This is a permanent part time position within a small, committed team of educators, located in a well-resourced rural service setting.

The role supports the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care programs for children, working collaboratively with the Early Years Teacher and broader team to create safe, engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environments.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Sound knowledge and experience in implementing the Early Years Learning Framework, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and Child Safe Standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, colleagues and other professionals.
  • The ability to contribute positively to a team environment and support the delivery of a high-quality early years program.

Applicants must hold a minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA approved equivalent qualification. A Diploma qualification is also highly regarded.

The successful candidate is required to hold a current Working with Children Check, satisfactory Police Check, Level 2 First Aid qualification, and current Asthma and Anaphylaxis training. A current driver’s licence is also required.

This position is offered on a permanent part time basis, with hours negotiable to suit the successful candidate and service requirements.
