The Goroke Recreation Reserve Pavilion and Changerooms project has delivered a significant upgrade to local sporting infrastructure, providing modern and inclusive facilities for football, netball, and tennis. The project supports the viability of local sporting clubs and strengthens Goroke’s role in the regional sporting network.
Located in a small rural town with a strong community spirit, the new pavilion also plays a role in local economic recovery following the impacts of COVID-19. With sporting competitions drawing visitors from across the region, the project helps restore the visitor economy and support local businesses.
The project involved the construction of a new multi-sport pavilion and changeroom facility at the Goroke Recreation Reserve. The new building includes:
Four player changerooms for home and away teams (netball, tennis and football)
Umpire changerooms
Gym
Public toilets
Social room
