Whether you’re travelling, spending time with family, or just enjoying a break, take care on the roads and look out for one another during the Easter and school holiday period.
Below is a guide to West Wimmera Shire Council’s services and operating hours over the Easter break:
CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTRES – KANIVA AND EDEHOPE The Kaniva and Edenhope customer services centres will be closed from 5pm Thursday 17 April until 8.30am Tuesday 22 April 2023. For urgent Council matters during this period please contact 13 99 72. TRANSFER STATIONSTransfer stations will be closed on Good Friday, but as open as usual on all other days. LOCAL LAWS Council’s after-hours service will remain available for urgent matters involving domestic animals or public safety. Please call 13 99 72.
MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH The service will be closed across the public holiday period. For support, please contact the 24-hour Victorian Maternal and Child Health Line on 13 22 29.
LIBRARESClosed all public holidays
SUPPORTED PLAYGROUPS AND KINDERGARTENS
Closed for school holidays, including Easter Monday. Re-opening Tuesday, 22 April.
AGED CARE
Personal care and meal delivery will continue as normal, including on public holidays. Home care will not be available over the Easter break.
