The Australian Driving Institute (ADI) Defensive Driving Program returns to Harrow for its 14th year, providing drivers with valuable knowledge and practical experience to improve their safety on the road. Suitable for drivers aged 16 years and over, the one-day course combines theory and practical components, covering topics such as emergency braking, safe steering, wildlife hazards, fatigue, speed awareness, observation techniques and emergency collision avoidance. Participants gain hands-on experience driving on real roads in real conditions, helping to build confidence and safer driving habits.
The 2026 AUSTDRIVE 1 course is being generously subsidised for a second year through funding from a VicHealth Growing Healthy Communities Grant, reducing the participant cost to $80 per person.
Bookings are essential and can be made online at www.austdrive.com. Learner drivers must have a supervising driver present for the entire day. For further information, contact Harrow Bush Nursing Centre on 5588 2000.
